Visiting:

• The bustling ancient port city of Joppa with 4D show
• Mt Carmel – site of Elijah’s showdown with the prophets of Baal and source of ancient springs channelled by Herod the Great to sustain his magnificent palace at Caesarea Maritima
• Caesarea Maritima – visit the extensive ruins of this  ancient port city, built by Herod the Great to consolidate his position with the Roman Empreror.
• Nazareth Village – fascinating reconstruction of life in Biblical Nazareth. The volunteers here do a wonderful work retelling the story of Jesus of Nazareth.

• Golan Heights – tour the ancient pasture lands of Bashan & see the Israeli borders with Syria / Lebanon
• Banias (Caesarea Philippi) 
• Capernaum – visit the extensive archaeological excavations of the city which was home to the Lord jesus during his 3 years of ministry,  and site of many of his miracles. 
• Tabgha area – visit traditional sites of the Sermon on the Mount, the Feeding of the Five Thousand and the restoration of Peter (John 21).
• Magdalla – see the ongoing excavations of this fascinating site, including Jewish ritual baths (mikvah) and remains of a 1st Century synagogue. almost certainly visited by our Lord
• Mt Tabor – probable site of The Transfiguration, with breathtaking vistas of the Jezreel Valley
• Beit She’an – fascinating recent excavations of this important Roman city, where the bodies of King Saul and his sons had much earlier been ignominiously hung from the city walls.

• This tour involves some walking (occasionally on uphill / uneven ground) and is unlikely to be suitable for anyone who cannot manage to walk 12 – 15,000 steps at moderate pace for several consecutive days (especially in / around the city of Jerusalem)
